Fling Its

Products for kids

Fling its have been recommended by OTs. Learners have fun while they develop co- ordination, gross motor, eye and hand control and lots more.

A few ideas: Place different weights in the centre eg bean bag, ball and watch how the group has to adjust their movement. Hold with left, right hand, move to the left/ right, drop and run under the fling it if you are wearing eg blue/ green, if your name starts with a b.

Use to play twister, reinforce colours, imaginative play, build tunnels… the list is endless! Please contact me if you would like to purchase 1 of these amazing Fling its. Co- operative play at its best!

SMALL FLING IT@ R200 / LARGE FLING IT @R350.

Ideas as follows.

  • For cooperation and team work, change the item in the middle. Use a balloon, bean bag, ball, any object which requires the learners to adapt to the weight and adjust their up and down motion.
  • Reinforce left and right. Hold with both hands, let go right/ left hand. Move to the left/ right.
  • If your name begins with … sound, let go and run, crawl, slide, roll etc under the parachute and out the opposite side.
  • If you are wearing ..blue, let go and crawl etc under the parachute. Great with younger group to reinforce colours.
  • If you are wearing something that begins with a t..let go and tip toe around the outside of the group.
  • If you are wearing something that begins with a g, take great big strides around the group till you get back to your place.

Timour Hall Primary

Many thanks to Mr Brian Bosworth, the principal of Timour Hall Primary, for the invitation to speak to  his  Grade 1, 2 and 3 parents on Tuesday 9th June.

What a wonderful group of parents and teachers! Ready and willing to try something new in the interest of making maths come alive for the children. These parents will never look at cereal boxes, paper plates, egg boxes or a box of smarties in the same way again!
