On a professional note…

All my qualifications, training and resources combine and contribute to the range of services I offer. As an educational coach, life coach, author, inspired speaker, Letterland distributor for the Western Cape, trained Demartini Method faciliatator, Body Alignment and Reiki practioner, I am blessed to love what I do and to be doing what I love! My need for variety, significance, growth and contribution are met and I get to play every day!

I am passionate about educating in a creative, stimulating and meaningful way. Whether its a group of parents who are empowered to go home and play with their kids in a completely different way or one on one with my client who gets ” if its to be, then its up to me!”

On the education side, I co authored an excellent range of Foundation Phase English 2nd language books used widely throughout SA. I speak at schools, run workshops, write and distribute an educational product. I have visions of expanding the services I offer, so watch this space! The art of leading a balanced life and goal setting excite me! Coaching is the most amazing, valuable tool.

I love seeing and feeling the energy shift as the client “lights switch on”!  I love receiving feedback ! I love knowing that I am the conduit to the change in perception that occured.

Me as a person

Family, hobbies and extra mural activities – whatever is important to you in personal time.
I  believe the jump start to creating a fabulous life, is gratitude for what we have. I start and end my day saying thank you and daily I receive more to say thank you for!  Try it, you wont be disappointed!

I am married to Roy (we were friends at high school! Only got together later tho’ Friendship an excellent foundation for marriage)  We have 2 daughters. Kate 19 who has recently returned from a gap year in the UK and is now at Stellenbosch University and Robyn 16, who is in Grade 11. My family have been my greatest teachers.

I absolutely love Cape Town, the mountain and the sea. Roy and I did the whole combi ,traveling/ working thing in the UK and Europe in 1986. Having  lived in and having visited many other countries, I know am blessed to be living here below this beautiful mountain.

My Inspiration

So many people inspire me. My reliable char who arrives twice a week with a smile and who has “I will never give up” as her background on her mobile. Those Big Issue vendors and others who are out there making a living and not turning to crime. What would I do if I couldnt feed my children?

I believe we are all connected at some level and what you think, say and do, has an enormous impact daily on your own life and on others.

The secret to happiness.

John Demartini talks about there being a Grand Organised Design to this Universe, which is set up to teach us to love. That reasonates with me!  I feel that we are loved, held and given what we need for this physical journey. It however, doesn’t always come in the package we think it should!  Damn! However, if  we change our perceptions and see blessings in the crisis, we will learn to dance in the rain and not feel we have to wait for the storm to pass! How amazing! I am learning to dance in the rain and give thanks for it!
