Father Christmas visit to Kylemore
Party with a Purpose supported Father Christmas visit to Kylemore on Saturday 21st November. Many thanks to the ladies (and some of their husbands) who so generously supported Jeanne and the children of Kylemore. We have had such fun as a group and would loike to challenge YOU to do the same with your friends and family. We can and do make a difference !
Below an extract from Jeanne’s thank you letter.
In all the time that I have had the privilege of working on Imbali’s projects in Kylemore I have never had a response like this! Family and friends were sooooooooooo generous, some sent ten or 15 gifts, some sent donations and — all in all — an absolutely awesome event was achieved!
Father Christmas arrived and the children’s excitement rose in volume, their enthusiasm electrifying the ambience while they waited their turn to be called up to receive a gift and a hug from the great man! How humbled, and privileged we were to be able to share this breathtaking experience with these little one — two of whom told me afterwards that it was the VERY FIRST ‘present’ that they had ever received in their lives!
Because of the astonishing support we received we have accumulated +- 30 additional gifts for children. Eva and I will wait until December by which time Eva will know which jobless members of the community have not managed to find seasonal work on farms or in factories and pack-sheds, and therefore, which families [and particularly which children] will sadly, not have much to celebrate this festive season. We will then drive through the community and, wherever possible, share these gifts with those children.
On behalf of Imbali I would like to thank you for all you have done in warming the hearts of the children, and for bringing joy, hope and love to them – a memorable occasion for each and every little one!

Just to say that your donation has helped us to sustain our "feed-a-child-a-muffin-a-day" campaign — we are now able to reach 750 children daily, many of whom are from very underprivileged backgrounds, and many of whom rely on this feeding scheme for the nourishment they receive from this fortified muffin and a cup of soup!
We realise that our outreach only touches the tip of the iceberg and we are trying to extend our program to include 1,000 children! Your generous donation is helping us to reach our objective!

Jeanne and the Kylemore Kiddies!
Partying with a purpose!
Welcome to Partying with a Purpose! A group of ladies have decided to make a difference doing what they love.. partying!We get together to drink tea, coffee or maybe even a glass of champagne or 2 at the next meeting..)
The idea is to take an hour or two out of our busy lives to make time to connect, to catch up, to share our skills and have fun! We each make a donation of R50 which then goes towards a charity of the groups choice.
Our first meeting was held on 26th March where we discussed what it is we want to achieve and the different ways to achieve the change we want to be part of. R650 was raised which will go to Imbali feeding scheme out at Kylemore.
Well done ladies! It fablous to have fun and to know we are making a difference while doing so.
Our next meeting is on Tuesday 28th April 10.30am to 12. You are invited!!!
